Yes. In The Keys is free to begin and includes the full Practice Room, the living light, logging Passes with tempo, key, and notes, Passages, and your Story. You can keep up to three Routines for free. In The Keys Pro opens unlimited Routines and the complete template library.
In The Keys Pro opens unlimited Routines and the complete template library, with further Pro features arriving over time. It is available as a monthly ($2.99/month) or yearly ($29.99/year) subscription.
A Pass is one logged run through a Study: its duration, the tempo and key you played it at, and a note. Logging Passes over time is how your Story takes shape.
A Passage is an optional, named span of a Study — like the development, or bars 17–32. Name a Passage when you want a hard section to keep its own history. Whole-piece is the default.
Yes. In The Keys is native on iPhone and iPad, with a layout that adapts to each, and your practice syncs between them through your private iCloud account.
Yes. Your data is stored on your device and, when you’re signed into iCloud, syncs through your own private iCloud account. We have no access to it, and there’s no account to create.
Yes, anytime. Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone to manage or cancel. Your Routines, Studies, and Passes stay either way — you’re never locked out of your own record.
No. In The Keys uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-preserving, aggregate product signals only. It never collects personal information or the contents of your practice, and there are no ads and no cross-app tracking.
